MUSTANG WINS..AGAIN!
it will be slightly changed for 2009. it will be released in august i think. they might do a complete remodeling in 2010 or 2011, but i hope they dont do that giugiar concept. that car is ugly and it takes out the american muscle in the mustang and adds italion supercar.
yeah, i completely agree. there something about the new body that i just don't like. it's ugly, and i hope they change it soon.
for now, i'll just hang on to my 95 GT with the 5.0
infact the 1987-92 LX/Notch bodies ranged from 2900-3100 ibs GT's were over 3200 because of the ground effects and such.
205-225hp on that makes a pretty decent car.
The LX 5.0 and Notch back models were lighter than the GT....its a fact, thats why you see so many more LX and Coupe bodies on the track....ford sports cars have tons of potential and can be exploited for cheap. Thats what makes them so speacial. you can make a 500hp 5.0 stang running 12's for under 3,000..also a fact
the current body for the mustang sucks, it would b impossible 4 any1 to find an 05-08 stang under 3000 pounds but those foxbodoyies were the best year for performance because of the lx 5.0 coupe which weighed around 2900.
No way in fucking hell that any mustang weighs under 3000 lbs stock.Go to fords website and be humbled. You would be hard pressed to find any v8 car under 3000 pounds. I think you are forgeting the weight of fuel.Camaros in the 90s weighed around 3700lbs with fuel.Look it up dipshit.
The Fox body got heavier the older it got. Early "four eyed" Fox bodies were considerably lighter than the 97-93 model years. My '79 Capri 5.0 is just over 2750lbs. Bare bone car, manual windows, no AC, etc. But most Mustang GTs weigh around 2900-3100. I'm not sure why your Cobra is so heavy, 3200 is almost Camaro weight.
My 93 cobra is 3200 pounds.Learn something and go to fords website you midwest retard. Can you even read? Look on your doorjam. The 4 cylinder is over 2800 lbs.
GT weighs 3400lbs, and LX coupes wiegh 200lbs lighter. Do the math.
Check again . . v8 notchback weights about 3100's and v8 lx hatch weights 3200's. 2700's possibly a 4cyl notchback.
I concede, you are correct regarding a '89 GT. I was misinformed. The curb weight on my car is 3194lbs (hatchback). An LX notchback weighs in at 2754lbs, which is a really convincing reason to ditch the hatch in favor of a LX notch.
Uh, yes, stock.
2800lbs? . .. not stock
My '89 GT weighs in at just over 2800 lbs. stock and they didn't change much between 85 and 89. This is one of the reasons why a lot of people weren't too happy with the SN95 and newer Mustangs. They weigh too much.
Uh huh. It really stems from a love of simplicity and being able to make it your own with not a lot of money. The only thing retarded is generic vague comments and their replies (such as mine) on youtube.
agreed!
Omg, I just noticed. Thats not even an 85' stang. Thats the next style up from mine. And also just noticed how SMALL of a gap between the sti and the stang was. They were almost even.
Ive been in skylines, 3000gts, older wrxs, most american muscle, and they all have pros and cons. I love my mustang and i love driving with my firend in his skyline. Ive raced and beat him and that shows nothing. That doesnt mean ALL muscle beats imports...just that situation. Grow up
Actually, im canadian... which is how the 5.0 GT's were sold as, cobra's. Druidjoe your just like american muscle lovers, both think the other is shit and theirs OWNS ALL... and yet until you put your motor where your mouth is and stop commenting on ONE video on the web, then you will never have a legit opinion.
ha mustangs are the most retarded generic american sports car. the only reason people like them in america, is because americans are ignorant. that stupid "if its american its the best" mentality is a bit short on IQ
nice ownage of the sti
Moron . . the sti is slightly heavier than the 5.0. The STi weights about 3,300's vs the 5.0 3200's lbs. American crs owns your ass.
85 GT Cobra??? WTF
thats about what you would need in that P.O.S ... but then you would still get walked |
