That's true. My new MM/FF magazine has a bolt on special for the GT500. 627rwhp with simple bolt ons. Keep in mind too Evolution Performance probably lightened the car some too.

I'll be honest, i didn't respect the GT500's i thought they were overpriced an slow, I thought ford didn't know what they was doin with these new stangs, as i eat these words i gotta respect this car, looks like u should be workin for ford an makin badass stangs like this one Saleen s7 TT Lambo's Porshes it's faster than alotta fast stuff on the road respect, great car, consider me a fan now

I wouldnt try to save up for a saleen mustang over a GT500 if there the same price... GT500 are 5.4 L with forged internals, making them very easy to mod for a lot of horsepower. Dont get me wrong, I love the saleens... but I wouldnt compare it to a GT500... and saleen/roush/ford are probably all very conservative tunes... Brenspeed and Bama tunes are where its at now a days... EVERYbody and their moms have one or the other...

Yes, it's a stock s/c however with a smaller s/c pulley and under drive pulley they can generate much more boost. It's not as efficient as throwing a larger twin screw supercharger, but it'll still help get you those numbers with no problem.

True, the GT500 does come with a conservative tune. But get your local performance shop to throw a pulley, exhaust, CAI, and custome tune on it and she'll be above 600hp at the wheels. You really don't need Saleen to tune and if they did a "Saleen/GT500" they'd probably want $100,000+ for it.

this car looks insane. but it only has like 460 RWP. the saleen mustang has like 550 BHP and is only a 4.6L. they should have gotten saleen to tune it and just use this body.

saw a gt500 with an exhaust go 12.2@119mph on street tires..no tune. to end all this what would they do stock.

stock gt500 runs 12s on streets, so likely high 11s on slicks
