diesels last forever. my buddy has a mid-80's diesel truck that has like 800k miles on it, he's not had very many problems at all, and it still gets 15 mpg

you are a moron. seriously, every truck is different. some last some dont. my friend has a dodge that needs a new engine and trans. the original has 83,000 miles on it. my daily driver is a 97 f 150 with almost 250,000 original everything. the only thing dodge ever did right was the cummins diesel.

My 99 F 350 just turned over 450,000 miles and I hate to say it but it is getting weaker. My friend's 97 Ram has over 675,000 miles and still runs like brand new. And as bad as I hate to admit it, I used to be a Ford man all the way till they came out with the new body style last year. Hate the new front ends. If I were to buy a new truck right now it would definately be a Dodge. But, I still love my old ford though.

Yeah Dodges last forever. I've never seen a ford go past 200,000 seriously. My moms taurus went out at 60,000 miles. ford have nooo quality at all. DODGE 4 LIFE!!! keep dreaming ford. Maybe you should go back to having Dodge build your trucks again so they can quit falling apart.

You know what buddy, I cannot say anything bad about Dodge trucks at all. I agree with you here. Dodge builds a hell of a tough truck that will stand up to just about anything. A buddy of mine has a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 with the Cummins diesel. It's got 675,000 miles on it and still purrs like a kitten and that truck has really been through the wringer too. You can't beat a good ole Dodge either....ha ha.
