LOL!!!! your right though! God knows how my car ended up here in the UK, but i'm glad it did! i'll send you a Ford Cortina as a replacement!!! ;-)

Maybe there isn't oil flyin' all over because he's done the suggested "FE oil mods" that lowers the valve train's oil supply. :) Alvin in AZ (measly little 360FE)

great engine - no oil spilling - great sound - and a power where your balls will scream forr

Tu as quoi comme bagnole?

Dépèche-toi a mettre tes couvercles de valve avant que l'huile commence a giclé partout! cé pas beau a nettoyer après.

V8 4EVER

lol no oil = retard

there is no oil in that motor

retard. hes gonna seize it

Weird that it didnt blow oil anywhere, I was thinking the same thing, new engine, first start, shoulda been 80 PSI cold, smoke should have poured out

do you have a roller cam in that where you don't need to break it in? everymotor i've built i've broken in the cam as soon as it started run her up to about 2200rpms for 30-40mins

LOL!!! he'll learn - the hard way i guess!

well the thing about the stud in the carb for the aircleaner is helpfull if your gonna cut it out to clear the aircleaner and add a scoop.ive used that trick many times. havent worked on the FE's but what i did was get it to idle then i'd adjust the valves and to do that you need the covers off.anyways engine cleaner specially the stuff my father used to bring home (Kar products) was VERY good at removing the oil and gunk.spray on leave sit a bit and hose off (good for the grass LOL)

Who the fuck needs computers? Gimmie screwdriver baby. Max vacuum!

fantatisk I just love the sound of a old mustang

Real smart you are. Lets start up a big block with the valve covers off. Then we can blow oil all over everything that weve been working on.

lmao, same here xD

Congrats on getting it running :o) Good to see that even people of other countries appreciate the good old American musclecars of the 60's. I haven't bent a wrench on the 390/400 block Ford motors for quite a while, but I recall that there were some lubrication problems in the bottom end, particularly in the area of the rear main bearing. Something about the crank needing chamfering; tended to wipe bearings dry. Take care of it - it's a classic!

glad I'm not the only dumbass that's done it. Plymouth .030 383, torker, Holley 3310(750cfm) + first hood closing = a few swears.

It's an Offy Port-o-sonic, I can't put the spacer carb but the hood clearance is good. I build a new engine with an intake Doveperformance 1*4v and I think that it's too much tall!

My shirt is in my pants and I am far from the fan!

Is that a Torker intake? CHECK your hood clearance!!! You'll slam that thing first time and have a Holley 750 stud sticking right out!! BEEN there!

VERY DUMB OF HIM TO LEAN OVER THE FAN WITH NO SHROUD, iT COULD CATCH HIS SHIRT AND SLICE HIS GUT. STAND ON THE SIDE. !!!
