you want to take a Ford F-450 to the UK?
Ford trukcs actually last of an average of 250,000 miles
Built ford tough
new fords are reliable... but anything before 2007 would be lucky to still be on the road
Its a Ford, How did it last 150000 mile with out being in the shop 150000 times???????
In mother russia... the rock chips you.
I've had my 2008 F450 for about 6 months now. When I first purchased it I was only getting around 9 MPG. But after a computer upgrade 3 months ago it went to about 11 MPG. I just had a tune-up done 2 weeks ago at 59,000 KM and I'm suddenly up to 14 MPG.
On the downside, I've had the truck in service 4 times for a cooling system problem. Included was a breakdown while towing my 40' toy hauler in the middle of a mountain pass! But I was assured Ford has finally fixed the problem. I hope!
Need to be closer than that to see rock chips with a little home video camera.
Anyone know if one of these would be legal in the UK?
Also the MPG on this beast?
lol look from 2:55-3:20. How close do you need the camera to be to the hood, it's only 3 feet away. I see the hood very clearly, without any rock chips.
idiot, how are you going to see small rock chips on that big ass truck.
Everyday driving is heavy duty use.........Think about all the stop and go driving you have to go through each time you operate your vehicle. That wears-out your engine (and kills your fuel efficiency) more than heavy hauling. That's why it's recommended you change your oil every 3000 miles. The owners manual refers 5000 or 10000 as a last resort (in case you forget to change @ 3000 miles). Don't go by the owners manual.
interesting, no rock chips on the hood after 150,000 miles.
unfortunetely everything you say is true
revolutionary diesel. truely beautiful vehicle. i have a 01 7.3L f.250 197,000 miles and only replaced starter and a/c compressor clutch
the manuel says every 10,000 or 5,000 under heavy duty use. its a 100%synthetic and they will test the oil to make sure it is the ford oil when you have a major engine failure.they suck ass just like when they f-ed up the 7.3 for the 6.0
they should have just kept going until they broke some records
you have to change the oil every 3000 miles
this truck is a piece of junk.i have one with 51,000 and just blew its 4th motor. ford wont fix it again and is offering me about nothing on a buyback.will nvr buy a ford again after 20 yrs of driving them. |
