ya, it was a advertising strategy. ford, shelby, and n e 1 who will buy one of these know that the gt500 wont beat a carrera gt. but u right, it made a cool touch. even though the carrera could it the gt500 as a snack, its cool watchin the gt500 passin the carrera gt.

mustangs can handle curves, go drive one. they arent known for being good handlers, they are known for being drag cars, so people somehow assumed that mustangs cant handle curves, but ask people who drive them, and they will say mustangs handle pretty nicely. bwms do better (along with many others, but stangs get the job done).

The autobahn has corners,mustangs are not know for their cornering ability or high speed stability. BMW's were made to drive on the autobahn,mustangs were made for straight line racing.

It's really poor, that Ford does not sell the Mustang regular in Germany.. the don't sell any US-Modells anymore in Germany exept the Ranger.. that small pick up.

What does it say? That I've been right ofcourse: 1) there ARE reasons to buy GT500 if you live in Germany 2) comparing one with another which costs 3 times more makes no sense. Discussion is over.

The M6 is just over 2 times as expensive as the GT500. Yes an American car would be more exotic in Germany than a German car, that's obvious. But this car would be exotic, AND less expensive than a common car. What does that tell you?

I have just checked prices and M6 costs 3.something more than what is sticker price of GT500. Yes, it is a better car, because GT500 costs 3 times less. Why would one buy a GT500? 1) some might consider it far better looking 2) it is hell of exotic car in Germany (lot more than M6 will ever be) 3) the price... Are 3 reasons enough?

The M6 isn't 3-4 times more expensive than a GT500. And I wasn't really comparing them, more like saying I'd rather have the M6 because it's so much of a better car. If you lived in Germany, why on earth would you buy a Mustang?

I don't understand what is the point of comparing GT500 for $50k and BMW M6 3-4 times more expensive.. Do you compare M6 with Enzo?

Of course it does cost more, but you get more for your money in my opinion.
