doot audi's and porsches come with garrets not KKKs....fair point about dunlop and nike but what im trying to say is they are not on the same industry standard. one is held at a much higher standard.

Garrett is the industry standard not HKS. Garrett makes turbos for every application including big rigs thats a true test of a turb big rigs idle at 1psi and log over 300k miles show me an HKS that can due that. There are alot of good turbos out there hell check out sound performance they make monster or JWT, but even they will tell you GARRETT is the root of the turbo world not just imports.

that dosnt make them the best turbos in the world. when it comes to quality strength and durability u cant beat hks turbos. they might be based on garrett but are overhauled to perfection by hks. compare a garett turbo to a hks turbo and ull see wat i mean. theyll make more boost, earlier, and faster

HKS uses Garrett Turbos. They then rebuild them to HKS Specifications.

i have this turbo on my R-34 GTR

garrett are the best turbos in the world... turbonetics turbochargers are also very good, and they are not so expencive as the hks... and nice sound of turbo...

thats not at idle... its under a constant load on a dyno.... look carefully at the manifold glow.... at idle manifolds dont glow

they are very similar....not much difference as nismofreak says they are desinged by garret anyway... get basically the same sound from high end t78 or 88 turbos as T51 all comes down to the specs and what you want to do with it
