They were driving hard enough to make the Honda folk go home with a really big smile on his/er face for keeping up with the myth. At least I would, if I could keep up with a Ferrari, being in a much cheaper and less powerful car. And I don't think if the S2K driver was in the Ferrari he/she would be much faster. Because the track has many slow speed corners and few fast sectors.

They could've been in the 'novice' group. Track days are usually broken into groups of pass anywhere, pass only on straights, and dont pass at all.

?... So everyone agrees that the S was bein driven at 90% and the 360 was also driven at 90%?

I actually have an 06 Honda s2000 ap2 and the exhaust sounds like mine.... stock. Given the ferrari was being careful in the corners, but the s2k has incredible speed in the corners allowing it to catch up. This is testimony to Honda's vision of creating an affordable race car. Also its clear he has done some modification. I have a few things in mine and its easly to push it past 300 bhp.... a true beast on the track. Although its not much of a drag car, but could be made so.

The S2000 was being driven hard. The 360 in front of it wasn't driving their car anywhere as hard as the Honda. Watch and listen to the 360. I wouldn't use this video to compare the differences. I love S2000's, but sorry, if s/he was driving the 360, the S2 would've been gone laps ago.

yeah not only that,but Japan also has taxes on engine displacement...the NSX could have been way better if it wasn't for all those restrictions and laws.

the whole reason why the NSX barely made 300hp for pretty much its whole life is the fact that Japan never passed the 270-300hp restrictions. Only until 2007, they were surpassing that limit.

I tought the s2000 was going fast till i saw the ferrari! She made it look slow. hahaha.

yes i will not deny the fact that the NSX is truly one of the greatest supercars but after 10 years since it's arrival,there wasn't much improvements to it.nothing more then a facelift,weight reduction,and slight power increase.ferrari on the other hand made more improvements from the 355 to 360 and later the 430.had Honda done the same to the NSX then it would be a whole different story.

depends on where they are compared. I would'nt doubt that a 430 would have a hard time getting away from a NSX-R, and especially a NSX-R GT.

the only ferrari that the NSX was truly competitive against was the Ferrari 355.this was way back in the early 90's.since then the NSX sorta remained the same while Ferrari came out with the 360 and later the 430 which the NSX can't touch.

maybe the S2000 should go turbo..?..

And yet the little Honda was lapping faster than the Modenas. Sounds to me like it was the Ferraris who wasted the S2000's time by being stubborn and not letting him pass.
