Australia's done a few things wrong, as far as I can see - hiring racing drivers (who, it has been established since the beginning of time, have small brains and worthless opinions, and are less than interesting when presenting them). Also in their attempts at being silly, they actually take things quite seriously - it should be the other way around. And, well, the music is wrong. Nothing worse than watching dirty Holdens being driven by people with dirty accents without Amon Tobin or autechre.

This is a bad comparison at the end of the day. They should be doing the FPV & HSV 8s go up against each other. What's the point of doing a turbo 6 and v8? they're entirety different. It's common sense. I want to see a GT on the next series.

At least the Ford Boss V8 and F6 is developed and built in Oz by FPV, You can't buy that spec anywhere else. I reckon these two engines do a hell of a job against GM's V8 when you compare the smaller budget and smaller scale of these 2 Oz engines vs Big development dollar, huge production number GM V8's.

Yeah I agree mate, But the Yank v8s are no slouches, they have plenty of go, and imo the Boss is probably the best sounding 8 I've heard, and we've got them over here in the Fords. We really are a lucky country to have such quality and affordable v8 performance.

Yes godanselmo, that would have been a better comparison. What this show failed to do is tell the truth about that 6.2L V8, "Aussie V8" my ass ! It's the Corvette engine & The GT has the Mustang's V8, both imported from the US. I have owned both Ford & Holden V8's over the last 20 years. I test drove a BFXR6 Turbo & was blown away by the torque ! The Typhoon has even more torque. An Aussie Turbo 6 VS huge USA V8. Turbo way cheaper too.

Ford have outdone Holden with the F6. Don't get me wrong I love Holden and their v8s, I'd own one any day of the week, but they the can't keep relying on their 8s.

I love Holden, I drive a VX, But I'll tell you now, when the time comes to look for my next car, I'll be giving the F6 a test drive, not doubt about it. Nothing can compete with these machines for the price. And they are only going to get better, which is a daunting thought for Holden imo. Gone are the days of slamming in a big v8 and hoping for the best, the game has changed, and Holden have to realize this.

I think it's time for Holden to swallow their pride and put out something to compete with the I6 turbo. If they don't do something then they are going to start falling behind, and it's already showing in their sales.

They should of had the R8 up against the GT. These cars aren't in the same league. Of course the F6 is going to be faster, we all know the I6 turbo will beat almost anything you put it up against, one being the Clubsport. The GT would have been a better comparison imo.

why can`t people just admit they are both great cars without the foolish negative comments, both have good points and acheive a similar outcome with different power units, and are brilliant Australian hi performance family sedans.
