but... 4cyl cars that makes same times as V8's are more much efficient, thats why 4cyl racers race and tune for. Obviously when it comes at this point of performance and tuning in a big block, the only thing you can compare are the tires xD

Combination of things: Big motor, high compression, big cam that likes a high idle, high performance carbs don't have the best cold-start performance, etc.
